Hymns
Carolyn Gillette is a popular writer of new hymns to traditional hymn tunes; her hymns can be found in collections by Presbyterians, Episcopalians, Christian Reformed, United Methodists, the United Church of Canada and the Unitarians in the United Kingdom.
She has ten hymns with specific creation care themes, including one for blessings of animals and one for celebrating a congregation’s dedication of its solar panels. They can be seen on her website. NOTE: the Hymn Use Permission statement.
Educational Resources
EcoJustice Ministries Eco-Curriculum Reviews
The Eco-Curriculum Review from Eco-Justice Ministries is intended to help church leaders research and select the very best resources for programming in their specific setting. Each review provides detailed descriptions of the curriculum materials, and the reviewer’s commentary on many important criteria, such as how hard it is to teach, the theological slant of the materials, and the desired educational outcome of the curriculum.
Children and Youth Resources
The Iowa Interfaith Power and Light program shares a list of resources to engage children and youth in earthkeeping! [Check it out here].
