Energy Stewards Pilot Program

Tracking energy efficiency and energy conservation

Energy Stewards of OhioPartnering with a national organization, Rapid-Improvement Associates, OhIPL will be able to make Energy Stewards™, an on-line energy tracking platform, accessible to Ohio’s faith community.

Craig Foster, of Foster Energy Management Co, is working with OhIPL to administer the Energy Stewards Pilot Program and will consult with houses of worship about their use of the Energy Steward™ platform.

The Energy Stewards™ tracking platform provides checklists and information forums and has the ability to track energy use and calculate changes in carbon output over time.

Use of these tools can generate typical savings of up to 15%. For a minimal cost to Covenant Congregations of $10.00 per month ($120.00 annually), the Energy Stewards™ platform can help congregations save energy and money, allowing resources to be redirected to other areas of ministry.

  1. The Energy Stewards Pilot Program will offer a step-by-step process with participating congregations that will include a training session/webinar, regular conference calls, and the use of an online tool that will track the history and changes in your congregation’s energy use.
