“Human Evolution: From Biology to Culture” is a public lecture by Dr. Francisco Ayala, winner of the Templeton Prize in 2010. The lecture will be Saturday June 12th at 3 pm in Kottman Hall’s Willard Auditorium on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus.
Francisco Ayala is considered one of the foremost evolutionary geneticists of our time. He is Donald Bren Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Professor Ayala has made significant and wide-ranging experimental and theoretical contributions to evolution theory. He also writes about the interface between religion and science. Dr. Ayala has published more than 1,000 scientific articles and is the author or editor of 40 books.
He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, and numerous foreign academies.
