Also known as the “New Year of the Trees”.  In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration.

Humanist Jewish Chavurah of Columbus (HJCC) is commemorating Tu Bishvat on Sunday February 12, 2017 starting at 1:30 PM at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus, 1125 College Avenue, Columbus. Jason Cervenec of the Byrd Polar & Climate Research Center will be presenting on the topic: Understanding Climate Change, Sharing its Impact, and Engaging in Action.
