Green Summit, October 2-4, 2009

The upcoming Green Summit has been restructured,presenting a new opportunity on Saturday, October 3.

The Green Summit was designed for Ohio faith community members working or interested in creation care ministries to learn and share information to strengthen local environmental stewardship work. 

Unfortunately, with many competing events at this time of year and the economic downturn, there have not been sufficient registrations to support a full weekend event as was originally planned.

In response to this, we have re-organized the schedule to create a more intimate and interactive gathering on Saturday, October 3 from 9:00am to 3:00pm, featuring Michael Schut, Economic and Environmental Affairs Officer of The Episcopal Church, and a roundtable of ministries and resources. 

Sunday's activities remain the same, featuring a Blessing of the Animals and presentations by the Madison County Chapter of the Future Farmers of America.

The day will provide us an opportunity for a more intimate exchange of ideas and experiences, learning together and sharing hopes, so that you can build up environmental ministries in your congregation, and nurture the exciting growth in faith and environmental engagement in Ohio.

Registration is now FREE for the Saturday event; lunch is $10; a free-will offering will also be taken.

Walk-in registration will also be available, but please rsvp to allow an accurate count for lunch registrations.
